Adagiata a ventaglio sulla prima cerchia dell'anfiteatro morenico sorge la città di Desenzano del Garda,uno tra i più importanti centri residenziali, commerciali e turistici del lago. Desenzano è una delle città turistiche più attrezzate del lago.Numerosissimi sono gli impianti sportivi, e i luoghi per le manifestazioni culturali.Per quanto riguarda i collegamenti,a Desenzano abbiamo la stazione ferroviaria, il casello dell'autostrada, e l'aeroporto situato a circa 20 km di distanza dalla città. E naturalmente non poteva mancare la linea degli aliscafi della Navigarda.
Tipico a Desenzano il mercatino dell'antiquariato che si svolge in piazza Malvezzi la prima domenica di ogni mese, dove numerose bancarelle espongono mobili, stampe, libri cartoline e numerosi oggetti di antiquariato.


Fächerförmig breitet sich Desenzano um das kreisförmige Amphitheater aus. Diese Stadt ist eines der bedeutensten Einwohner-, Wirtschafts- und auch Tourismuszentren der Region. Desenzano ist einer der am best ausgestatteten Tourismusorte am See, wozu auch die vielen Sportangebote und kulturelle Veranstaltungen beitragen. Durch den nahegelegenen Flughafen, die günstige Bahn- und auch Autobahnanbindung ist der Ort sehr leicht zu erreichen. Auch die „Navigarda“ steuert den Ort mit ihren Tragflächenbooten an. Typisch für Desenzano ist der Antiquitätenmarkt, der am ersten Sonntag jeden Monates stattfindet und wo man Möbel, Bücher und Kunstdrucke erwerben kann.

There are numerous sports complexes and cultural event sites. As far as getting there is concerned, in Desenzano there is a train station, a motorway exit and the airport is about 20 km away. Furthermore, the town is well served by the Navigarda ferry service too.
On the first Sunday in every month a famous antiques’ market takes place in Piazza Malvezzi. There are many stands displaying furniture, prints, books, postcards and several different antique objects.
