{ Il Sarcofago di Attilia Urbica }

Altro interessante reperto è il sarcofago di Atilia Urbica. L’urna è in pietra bianca mentre il pesante coperchio a tetto è di marmo rossigno. Sulla facciata principale compare un'epigrafe, su ciascun lato della quale è rappresentato a rilievo un fanciullo alato che regge una facella capovolta. Sui lati dell’urna una donna con cornucopia e una con cetra ricevono frutta da un fanciullo. Sui due timpani dei coperchio è scolpita una Medusa.


Der Sarkophag des Attila Urbica
Eine andere interessannte Sehenswürdigkeit ist der Sarkophag des Attila Urbica. Die Urne besteht aus weißem Stein während der Deckel aus rotem Marmor gehauen ist. Auf der Vorderseite des Sarkophags ist ein Epigraph eingelassen. Zu jeder Seite davon ist ein Engel, welcher eine umgestürzte Flamme hält, abgebildet. Auf den Seitenwänden ist eine Frau mit Füllhorn, welche Früchte von einem Engel erhält abgebildet. Der Deckel ist schließlich mit einer eingemeißelten Meduse geschmückt.

This sarcophagus is another interesting find. The urn is made of white stone while the roof-shaped cover is made of red marble. On the main façade there is an epigraph and on either side of it there is the sculpted picture of a winged young boy. On both sides of the urn is the sculpture of a jellyfish.
