La prima notizia certa sulla Pieve è del IX sec.All'interno dell'edificio ci sono gli altari di San Benigno e San Caro(1769) e delle Sette Allegrezze(1771), un ciborio del 1400 e la pala della Deposizione di Girolamo dai Libri(1474-1555);i dipinti del presbiterio sono di Felice Boscarotti.Da visitare sono anche le quattordici stazioni della Via Crucis.
Die Geschichte der Pfarrei des Stefano lässt sich bis ins 9. Jahrhundert zurückverfolgen.. Im Innern der Kirche befinden sich die Altäre des Benigno, Caro (1769) und der sieben „Allegrezzen“ sowie ein Ziborium aus dem 14.Jahrhundert.Die Gemälde im Chorraum stammen von Felice Boscarotti und auf dem Altarbild ist die Grablegung von Girolamo dei Libri (1474-1555) zu sehen.
The first documentation about the Parish dates back to the 9th century. Inside the parish church are St Benigno and St Caro’s altars (1769) and the altar of the Seven Joys, as well as a 1400 ciborium and the altarpiece of the Deposition of Girolamo of the Books (1474-1555); the presbytery paintings are by Felice Boscarotti. The fourteen stations of the Via Crucis can also be visited.
