Il complesso conobbe il suo splendore fra l'età di Cesare e l'epoca degli Antonini e si estende su due ettari e mezzo circa di terreno.Ciò che rimane visibile oggi, costituiva allora l'insieme di costruzioni su cui era basata la residenza vera e propria, in modo che questa avesse gli edifici principali sullo stesso livello, mentre quello del suolo digrada verso l'acqua.L'insieme dei ruderi giganteschi e degli ulivi cresciuti fra le rovine si staglia sul panorama mirabile del lago.
Dieser Komplex, welcher sich über zweieinhalb Hektar Land ausbreitet, erblüte in seiner vollen Pracht zwischen dem Zeitalter Cesars und dem der Antonier. Heute noch erhalten ist die Basiskonstruktion auf welcher die Residencen sich wohl aufbauten. Die Hauptgebäude befanden sich auf einer Ebene während sich die Unteren dem Wasser hinunter zuwendeten. Die gigantischen Ruinen dieser Gebäude inmitten der Naturheben sich stak von dem sonst so harmonischen Panorama des Sees ab.
