{ Il Lago di Tovel e il Progetto SALTO }

Il lago di Tovel (lT), situato in territorio trentino nella parte settentrionale delle Dolomiti di Brenta rappresenta una delle maggiori attrazioni del Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta. La fama a livello internazionale era associata al fenomeno dell'arrossamento delle sue acque che si verificava nelle ore centrali della giornata nel periodo piu' caldo della stagione estiva come conseguenza della fioritura di un'alga unicellulare, il Glenodinium sanguineum March. (Gs). L'arrossamento delle acque si e' manifestato con forte intensita' l'ultima volta nel 1964; successivamente si sono avute sporadiche fioriture di debole intensita' nonostante la presenza dell'alga sia chiaramente documentata sino ai giorni nostri.Il progetto SALTO si propone di completare il quadro delle conoscenze legate al fenomeno dell'arrossamento, cosi' come auspicato dal Tomasi, lo studioso trentino che nel recente passato ha promosso e coordinato importanti studi sul lago. Nella sua ultima monografia dal suggestivo titolo "Lago di Tovel: dall'immaginario al plausibile" (Tomasi, 1989), auspicava che si arrivasse ad "...un tentativo di avvicinamento ad una interpretazione condivisa dei fatti naturali coinvolti nel problema di Tovel". Anche l'approccio metodologico che si intende seguire e' quello auspicato dal Tomasi "...far convergere sulle sponde del lago un gruppo di studiosi in numero tale da essere in grado di coprire, con le interrelazioni delle loro competenze scientifiche, l'orizzonte di discipline chimico-fisiche e biologiche...".

Come Arrivare al Lago di Tovel In automobile
La Valle di Tovel si trova nella Provincia Autonoma di Trento. Ci si arriva in automobile passando per Tuenno. Tuenno si raggiunge uscendo dall'autostrada A22 del Brennero a San Michele, puntando verso la Val di Non e seguendo la chiara segnaletica. Tuenno si trova a circa 22 km da San Michele All'Adige e il Lago di Tovel dista circa 11 km da Tuenno. La strada che porta al Lago è asfaltata e abbastanza scorrevole. Non è possibile arrivare in automobile fino al Lago, ma bisogna fermarsi nel parcheggio (a pagamento nella bella stagione) a circa 300 m dal Lago

Der Tovelsee (IT), auf dem Trentino Gebiet in der nördlichen Seite der Brenta Dolomiten gestellt, stellt eine der bedeutendsten Anziehungen des Adamello Brenta Natürlichen Parks dar. Seiner auf internationaler Ebene Ruf war mit dem Rötungsphänomenon seiner Wassers verbunden, das während der mittleren Stunden des Tages in der warmsten Periode der sommerlichen Jahreszeit als Wirkung des Blühen einer einzelligen Alge ―die Glenodinium sanguinem March (Gs)― sich entwickelte. Das Jahr 1964 war das letzte Mal, das die Wasserrötung stark sich gezeigt hat. Später haben nur sporadische schwache Blühen stattgefunden, obwohl das Vorhandensein der Alge klar bis heutzutage dokumentiert worden ist. Der SALTO Plan zielt darauf, das Bild von den Rötungsphänomenon verbundenen Kentnisse zu ergänzen, wie gleich Tomasi vermutete, der Gelehrte aus Trentino, der kürzlich wichtige Forschungen nach dem See fördert und koordiniert hat.
In seiner letzten eindrucksvoll betitelten Monographie, “Tovelsee: von dem Phantastischen zu dem Stichhaltigen„ (Tomasi, 1989), vermutete er, dass man “[...] zu einem Annäherungsversuch nach einer geteilten Interpretation der natürlichen in der Tovel Angelegenheit betreffenden Tatsachen„ kommen könnte. Auch der methodologischen Annäherungsversuch, der man verfolgen möchte, ist derjeniger, der Tomasi annahm, “[...] eine Gruppe Gelehrten an das Seeufer richten zu lassen, die so gross wäre, dass sie den Gesichtskreis von chemi-physischen und biologischen Disziplinen mit den Wechselbeziehungen ihrer wissenschaftlichen Zuständigkeiten erfassen könnte.

Wie man den Tovelsee mit dem Auto ankommen kann
Die Toveltal liegt in der Autonomen Provinz Trento. Man kommt dazu mit dem Auto bei Fahren durch Tuenno an. Um Tuenno zu erreichen, sollte man die Ausfahrt San Michele All’Adige der Brennerautobahn A22 nehmen, und mit der Hilfe der klaren Verkehrszeichen nach Nontal sich richten. Tuenno liegt etwa 22 Kilometer weit von San Michele All’Adige, und der Tovelsee ist etwa 11 Kilometer von Tuenno entfernt. Die an den See führende Strasse ist asphaltiert und ziemlich fliessend. Autofahren bis zu dem See ist nicht erlaubt, tatsächlich darf man in dem Parkplatz halten (gebührenpflichtig während der Hochsaison) etwa 300 m. von dem See entfernt.

Lake Tovel (IT), set in Trentino in the western side of Brenta Dolomites, represents one of the greatest attractions of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. Its fame on international scale had been associated in the past to the reddening phenomenon of its waters, which used to take place during the central day hours in the hottest period of the summer season, as consequence of a unicellular seaweed bloom, the Glenodinium sanguineum March. (Gs). The water reddening intensely appeared for its last time in 1964; afterwards, there were only occasional, weekly intense bloom, although the existence of the seaweed has been plainly documented up to now. SALTO Project aims to complete the framework of knowledge concerning the reddening phenomenon, as conjectured likewise by Tomasi, the scholar from Trentino who has recently fostered and co-ordinated important studies about the lake.
In his last suggestive-titled monograph, “Lake Tovel. From the imaginary to the plausible” (Tomasi, 1989), he supposed he could finally come up to “[...] an attempt at approaching a shared interpretation regarding the natural facts involved in the Tovel affair”. Also the methodological approach meant to be followed, is the one put forth by Tomasi himself, “[...] to have a group of scholar converged towards the lake shores in such an amount, to be able to cover ―thanks to the interrelations of their scientific skills― the horizon of chemical-physical and biological disciplines. [...]”

How to reach Lake Tovel by car
Tovel Valley is set in Trento Autonomous Province. You can get there by passing through Tuenno. Tuenno can be reached by coming out from Brenner motorway A22 when at San Michele exit, by heading Non Valley and by following the clean-cut traffic signs. Tuenno is 22 kilometers far from San Michele All’Adige, and Lake Tovel is about 11 kilometers away from Tuenno. The road leading to the Lake is asphalted and quite smooth. Driving up to the Lake is not allowed; in fact, you have to stop in the car park (paying the toll in high season), about 300 m from the Lake.
