{ La Chiesa di San Giacomo }

Sulla riva del lago sorge la chiesetta di San Giacomo (S. Ciacom de Calì), databile al XII secolo, considerata l’edificio più antico di Gargnano. Sulla parete laterale esterna appaiono tre affreschi: il primo raffigura S. Antonio Abate, fra S. Paolo ed un evangelista, databile alla seconda metà del Trecento; il secondo rappresenta S. Antonio da Padova e nel terzo S. Cristoforo col Bambino sulle spalle. All'interno della chiesa, sull'unico altare, si trova la scultura lignea di S. Giacomo, datata 1501.


Die Kirche des San Giacomo
Die Kirche des San Giacomo (17. Jh.) ist am Ufer des Sees zu suchen und das wohl älteste Gebäude Gargnanos. An den lateralen Außenwänden sind drei Fresken zu sehen, von denen die erste den S. Antonio Abate, den Bruder des S. Paolo und einen Evangelisten darstellt (2. Hälfte des 3. Jh.).. Die zweite präsentiert den S. Antonio aus Padova und die dritte den S. Christoforo mit Kind auf den Schultern. Im Innern der Kirche befindet sich auf dem einzigen Altar die hölzerne Skulptur des S. Giacomo) von 1501.


St Jakob’s Church
St Jacob’s church, located on the lake’s shore, dates back to the 12th century and it is considered the oldest building in Gargnano. On the lateral external wall there are 3 frescos: the first represents St Anthony Abbot, St Paul and an evangelist, and it dates back to the second half of 1300. The second one represents St Anthony from Padua and the third one St Christopher with the Child on his shoulders.
Inside the church, on the only altar, there is a wooden sculpture of St Jacob, dated 1501.
