{ La Chiesa di San Martino }

La parrocchiale, dedicata a San Martino, risale all’XI secolo. Nel 1837 fu rimodernata dall'architetto bresciano Rodolfo Vantini, che realizzò un maestoso pantheon di forma ellittica ad una navata ornato, in facciata, da un grandioso colonnato. Dell’antica chiesa è rimasto soltanto il campanile rinascimentale. All'interno, forse proveniente dalla preesistente pieve è conservata l’Ultima Cena attribuita alla scuola del Veronese o comunque, di scuola veneta del Seicento.

Die Ursprünge dieser Pfarrkirche, die dem S. Martino gewidmet ist, sind auf das 11. Jh. zurückzudatieren. 1837 wurde sie von dem Architekten Rodolfo Vantini, welcher nun ein beachtliches Pantheon in Ellipsenform entwirft, welches aus einem Kirchenschiff und einem großartigen Säulengang besteht, modernisiert. Von der alten Pfarrkirche existiert heute nur noch der Glockenturm (Renaissance). Im Innern ist noch das Bild „L´ultima cena“ (das letzte Abendmahl), wahrscheinlich aus der alten Pfarrei zu sehen. Dieses Werk ist der Veroner Schule oder der venezianischen Schule zuzuordnen.


St Martin’s Church
This parish church, dedicated to St Martin, dates back to the 11th century. It was refurbished in 1837 by the architect from Brescia Rodolfo Vantini, who created a monumental pantheon in elliptic shape with one nave. The façade is decorated grand colonnade. Only the Renaissance clock tower remains of the old church. Inside is a painting of the Last Dinner, attributed to the Veronese school or anyway to a 1600s’ school. This work may belong to the original church.
